The Valley of Canton is having a 3 day Reunion and Friday night had a special evening. At 6:30 PM we were served a fine dinner of chicken, roast beef, red potatoes and mixed vegetables. After the dinner the Valley's two new 33rds were presented their white hats and jewels. The new Illustrious Brothers are Tom Hutchson and David Troutwein. I was in the class with them at Philadelphia and was happy to be in attendance for their special night.
At 8:00 were went up to the asylum and the Valley of Grand Rapids, Michigan, presented the Masonic play "December's Rose." This is a play that has been adapted to allow the public to attend. I was told that there were approximately 240 Brothers, wives and guests in attendance.
The play was done in exceptional good form and if you ever get the chance to see it done, don't miss it.
Just a little note: IT WAS SNOWING ON THE WAY HOME FROM CANTON!! Not much, but enough to say we have had the first snow of the year.
'til the next time.
