The 16th Capitular District has had a Royal Arch Ball for many years. This year it was at the Holiday Inn in Independance. The Ball is in conjunction with the district's Grand High Priest's reception and is normallly attended by all the Grand Officers and many of the Past Grands. This year there was approximately 150 guests in attendance.
The Grand Chapter officers were introduced at 6:15 PM and the dinner served at 6:30 PM (as if there was any other time for a Masonic dinner). An honor given to the Grand High Priest and his Lady is a reception through an arch of steel. I thank the Sir Knights for that honor.
Between business and Masonic meetings I have had a good number of meals at this Holiday Inn and they are usually quite good. The meal at the reception was very good. You had your choice of steak or chicken and both were served hot and quickly.
The evneing was a fine evening from start to finish, from the fellowship before the dinner to the fellowship in the hospality room,
